Six Tips to Increase your Productivity.

Being able to optimise your time and unlock your full business potential will be key coming into Spring and Summer 2023.  The art of balancing time available with business goals can be challenging, so below are six time management tips, to help with the transition and enable you to do more, in less time.

  1. Create a to-do list and prioritise key business tasks based on their importance and urgency. Focus on the activities that have the greatest benefit for your customers. This will help your customers know they are highly valued and in turn, they will stay loyal to your business. Divide your projects into bite-sized tasks and set specific deadlines for each task. This will help you stay meet deadlines and avoid procrastination. Tools such as Asana and Trello are great for helping you to manage projects.
  2. Use time-based tracking tools to monitor how much time you spend on each task. This will help you identify time-wasting activities and optimise your workflow.
  3. If you are working on a big deadline, make sure you add breaks to your schedule. Taking regular breaks helps you to recharge and re-energise. Use your breaks to do something that gives you time to think. Even a short walk can bring clarity to difficult challenges.
  4. Try and eliminate distractions by turning off your phone and laptop notifications. The constant ping of notifications only negatively reinforces time pressures.
  5. Don’t overcommit by taking on too much work. Learn to prioritise any project you take on to align with your time considerations, values and goals.
