Singleton Signs Achieves Master Sign Maker Accreditation
After 35 years in business, Singleton Signs have reached an impressive milestone, becoming the 29th company in New Zealand to achieve Master Sign Maker accreditation. The third-generation Southland business has built a reputation for delivering high quality signage and has now been recognised on a national scale with New Zealand’s most prestigious sign industry accreditation.
The NZSDA board were unanimous in their praise of the calibre of craftsmanship displayed by Singleton Signs, with NZSDA President Logan Sutton saying, “I really enjoyed looking through your portfolio of work. You both show up to every conference and awards evening and share your knowledge, which just amplifies the qualities a Master Sign Maker should embody. We all love having you attend and seeing your familiar faces year after year.”
For Singleton Signs owners Denise & Rob, applying for Master Sign Maker accreditation was never about chasing recognition. “There wasn’t one single deciding factor that led us to apply, it was more a natural progression. After many years in the industry, striving for excellence, we felt it was the right time to have that commitment independently recognised. When asked what skills or knowledge they thought were the most important for the next generation of sign makers, Singleton Signs championed a return to traditional sign making values, “The next generation of sign makers will need a balance of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. While software, digital printing, CNC machining, and new materials continue to evolve, the fundamentals remain the same: attention to detail, quality workmanship, problem solving, and pride in your craft.”
