We are excited to announce that on the 24th April, Signee NZ Ltd was accredited for Social Services Accreditation Level 4 through Te Kahui Kahu to safely deliver social services to the community. We were assessed against six social sector accreditation standards and are required to maintain our accreditation. During the review of our application, it was identified that we went above and beyond the standards and legal requirements in health and safety. Signee will need to apply again for accreditation when contacted for renewal in 2 years time.  This process was a huge feat and took almost 6 months to achieve.

Also we are proud to announce and align with referral agencies Dress for Success for our wahine and He Waka Tapu for tane. These organisations provide styling and clothing free of charge for our trainees when they attend job interviews.

On the 9th April, Signee attended one of the largest career expos that Christchurch Boys High School have held.  We were well looked after by students during the event with drinks, nibbles and assistance. It was great to connect with other industries in attendance giving us a chance to see what other marketing ideas and opportunities others are utilising to draw people to their stands and industries.

The six MSD -Skills for Industry jobseekers that commenced their training with us in March have now completed the programme. Out of the six trainees, two are being offered employment where they completed work experience. Unfortunately, the trainee that tested positive for covid was unable to join the programme in the end. The next phase for the other four jobseekers is career support where we will assist in seeking employment whilst providing feedback on cover letters, resumes and interview questions.  We will hold their graduation and present them with their completion certificate this Friday.

Our work experience sign shop hosts provided feedback on attendance and advised that the current EWP course was not suitable and suggested trainees attend a Site Safe course instead so they can gain their passports and can enter sites.  The majority of work experience hosts stated that Site Safe was preferable as it meant trainees could accompany to sites for observation and assistance in installation.
