Wide Format Dye Sub Printer Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the printing area, driven by the production schedule and to the required quality standard in a safe and cost-effective manner. An understanding of textile printing would be an advantage for this role. The Textiles Alive environment supports innovation, creativity and problem solving, so the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a willingness to adapt and roll up their sleeves to assist in other areas as required.

The Job:

• Printing duties which include; organising and loading large print runs, measuring, printing, cutting of printed and unprinted media as required by the production schedule, to meet customer order requirements.
• Ensure that production is completed to the standard required by product & quality control specifications, working closely with other production departments.
• All individual job documentation is completed as required for traceability.
• Make sure the work area & equipment is maintained in a tidy, clean and safe condition at all times.
• Ensure that productivity targets (timeframe to complete a job) are met and ink/printer stock levels are communicated as requested.
• Continuously identify and realise every opportunity to improve productivity, product quality and safety in every part of the printing and general production areas.
• Actively participate in any special projects as required and any other production task as requested
• Comply with all Textiles Alive Health & Safety requirements as explained and agreed.

The Person:

• knowledge of wide format printing an advantage
• experience/understanding of sublimation printing processes an advantage however full training will be provided.
• have strong attention to detail for quality control checks
• ability to anticipate obstacles and respond accordingly to prevent wastage and delays
• problem solver that can think on their feet while meeting time deadlines
• a multi-tasker who will go the extra mile
• a personality that can be both organised and adaptable – a real team player!
• heavy lifting is a daily requirement, so must have good physical fitness and ability to do so safely.
• Sharepoints and some computer knowledge an advantage

Wage negotiable depending on experience.
