Ross’s Rant October

We have some great events coming up in the next six months and I think we can never put enough emphasis on reminding all you good folk about the cool stuff we have on the go for our members.

The most important event coming up is our Expo in Auckland in June next year. As usual we marry this event up with our conference, AGM and the Awards and my rant this month is about making the effort to get along to our conference as well.  At most Expos and Awards the amount of members who make the effort to attend is always great, but people seem to be reluctant to allow an extra day to attend the conference as well.  What’s an extra day?

For example, If we had an All Blacks test on the Thursday or the Friday we would have to book out every hotel in Auckland.  Come on people,  let’s utilise all the hard work Melissa puts in to organising these events and enjoy the company of some like minded signies. You don’t know many? Well now’s your chance to meet some and really get to know them. You know the old saying “ if you don’t buy a ticket, you won’t win the raffle”

The EXPO promises to be one of the biggest and best yet and I believe that many exhibitors have registered their interest for stand space already, everyone just busting to show the industry the new technology and some pretty nifty gadgets.

Our “PROMOTING OUR BRAND” campaign is well under way with space in a lot of carefully selected magazines put aside for our promotional adverts which have been include in this e news for you to all have a look at.  My last word is a big thanks to all those signie’s who didn’t send images to us of their recent NZSDA Logo installs on their building. It has made judging really easy.
