Our many events held throughout the country is a huge advantage and great opportunity to meet other industry and like-minded colleagues, loyal and new members are encouraged to learn, share and offer great support and advice through a nationwide network.

Apprenticeships

NZSDA together with Competenz can offer advice and help on getting started with a career where you can get creative and get use of a variety of practical skills to assist your qualification with sign making.  The Signmaking industry is one of the most diverse industries you can work in from design, build, paint, signwriting, applying graphics and installation.

To start with you will need to have a basic understanding or have a natural artistic and creative ability, be able to express and use innovative ideas and talents, be fit and active with good eyesight and not colour blind.  Basic must have requirements comprise of a sound working knowledge of English, maths and basic computer skills and having a sense of responsibility and respect of people’s property.

Becoming an Apprentice is the perfect opportunity to earn while you learn and is the best way to take your career to the next level. No Student loans and no time to take off work for courses.
